RTEMS

RTEMS (Real-Time Executive for Multiprocessor Systems) is a commercial grade real-time operating system designed for deeply embedded systems. It is a free open source solution that supports multi-processor systems.

RTEMS is designed to support applications with the most stringent real-time requirements while being compatible with open standards.

The RTEMS project is managed by OAR Corporation in association with the RTEMS community (an open community, wich LogicLab is part, for software developers that are interested to improve the RTEMS Executive for Multiprocessor Systems)

RTEMS is used in many projects and mission-critical applications as industrial, aerospace and biomedical. LogicLab is among the main users of RTEMS with such illustrious institutions ESA, NASA and JPL.

LogicLab know-how

LogicLab has years of experience in the development of Real Time applications and particularly in the development of applications RTEMS-based . For all its products, and most projects, LogicLab used, as Real Time operating system, RTEMS.
The LogicLab architecture includes complex systems and, in some cases, a multiprocessor architecture; in this context, LogicLab has used RTEMS extensively in developing firmware which provide over 100 active task at once interrupted by more 20 interrupt sources also handled internally by the operating system (interrupt handler). Also for communication, and in particular for the management of Ethernet 10/100 BASE-TX and / or 100BASE-FX, it use the RTEMS TCP/IP stack and main related services (FTP, NTP, PRC, VPN, Web Server).
LogicLab is active in the RTEMS community where it has published a number of products (Digital Fault Recorder and Automatic Load Shed) as examples of RTEMS applications. In addition, the OAR Corporation has included among the different projects, the LogicLab Digital Fault Recorder as significant example of RTEMS-based product.

Thanks to the experience of its technicians, LogicLab provides the service of development or consultancy in projects based on real-time operating systems and in particular for applications RTEMS-based.
